about

This was a foray into an exploration of instrumental melodies for guitar. It was written and recorded for the 2013 RPM Challenge during the chilly but short month of February, and expanded on advanced guitar technique that I am continually developing and refining year after year. Inspired by nature and positive social grassroots activities, the pieces on this recording were contracted for use by the Food Security Network of NL (now Food First NL) as a musical backdrop for the film documentary "All Around the Table" which featured 12 short conversations with seniors in rural areas on the preservation and celebration of traditional food ways (www.foodfirstnl.ca/our-resources/all-around-the-table). A cutting of the song "In Food We Trust" was also used as an intro to DIY healthy lifestyle videos by informative natural blogger Colourful Canary that year (www.colorfulcanary.com). The song "New Moon" was recorded within the first few days of March 2013 and was not included in the RPM submission that year, but appears here as a welcome bonus addition. Picture yourself in your favorite outdoor place when listening. Enjoy :)
