My 4th RPM Challenge album, instrumental guitar. An experimental mix of sound, melody, and technique in diverse fingerpicking and flatpicking compositions and explorations written for 6 and 12-string guitars. Several tunings were used including Standard E, Open D, and Open A. The RPM Challenge gives participants 28 days to sketch down, learn to play and record 35 (or more) minutes of original music. Polishing comes later, and many of these songs have evolved somewhat over the years into solid aspects of my repertoire. Inspired by nature's inspiring processes, mindful feelings, and even cats, the music found in "Single File" is a sonic journey that will take your imagination to distant exotic and windswept lands. Perhaps some aspects of this album will bring you feelings of anxious calm and tense happiness. Enjoy, my gift for you
